S4K was founded in February 2017 in Nyon, Switzerland.

We are a local group of volunteers from various cultures and countries who have shared ideas and dreams for a long time. Our uniting thread is that we all believe that education is essential for the future and growth of children.

S4K gave us the opportunity to commit ourselves to a solidarity project, whose aim is to contribute to the education of children in disadvantaged regions.

Many families with very limited resources do not hesitate to make great sacrifices to give their children the education they have not received themselves, to ensure their future is better, but not all manage to do so. We believe that school teaches values such as respect, friendship and responsibility. Education helps to become independent, opens new perspectives, promotes tolerance, and helps to reduce inequalities. Equal access to quality education is a key element for development and inclusion.

Our idea is to create better conditions for deprived children attending poor schools far from big cities; to contribute to the betterment of their education, and to enhance their opportunities.
S4K is committed to improving basic facilities, the provision of school and sports materials and school equipment.

S4K sends clothes and contributes to the teachers’ salaries whenever possible. Our association seeks to raise awareness and highlight the importance of education for individual and community development. We aim to reach out to excluded populations, and their children in particular, in order to promote their development and integration.
